The Edison Library's Two-Sentence Scary Writing Contest was really, REALLY scary!   The winners, announced on Halloween, were Colt Horvath (2nd), Annie Isherwood (3rd), Mia Miller (4th), Clara Danielson (5th), Mrs. Brogni (Edison/Madison Staff) and Mrs Sutherlin (Edison Parents). Thanks to ALL the students, staff members and parents who submitted two-sentence scary stories!

Please join us at our next general PTA meeting on TUESDAY 11/12/23 at 6:00pm at the school. We'd love to see more people attend these meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest and to connect with other parents!

LAST CHANCE: Reflections Entries Due TODAY!

Wednesday, November 6th is the last day your children can submit an entry for the Reflections arts program! Give your children the chance to be recognized for their artistic talents and submit an entry this week. As a reminder, they can choreograph a dance, produce a film, write a poem or story, compose a song, take photos, or create a piece of visual art, then explain how it relates to this year's theme, "Accepting Imperfection". Our students have been recognized at the local, state and national level in recent years. This is a great way for your kids to earn recognition for their artistic talents. Don't let this opportunity pass for your children!  Entrees are due by Wednesday, November 6th, in the school office. For more information and entry guidelines, visit the PTA Council website https://www.elmhurst205.org/page/pta-council

Save-the-Date!
Mark your calendars for this year's Book Fair (dates and times below)! The fair is a great opportunity to encourage reading, and the perfect chance for some early Christmas shopping. Soon, we'll share a sign-up for volunteers to work the fair. Time commitment is small and it's a great way to support this fundraiser (did you know the money raised goes toward replenishing the shelves of our Edison Library with new books?) while getting kids excited about books! And new this year - teachers will be taking their classrooms through the Book Fair before it opens and help them fill out a Wishlist to bring home! Be sure to ask your students about it that week!

Email Erin Danielson or Noelle Bauer with any questions.

  • Thursday, November 21: 3 - 6 pm

  • Friday, November 22: 3 - 6 pm

  • Monday, November 25: 4:30 - 8 pm (stop by during Parent-Teacher Conferences!)
